I. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I got stuck. What do I do?
A: If you are trapped in a certain place or you got stuck, type /escape command. Just press enter, then type your password /escape then press enter again. This command will enable you to move.
Q: While downloading the patch file, I got an error message.
A: There are several reasons why your patch download is not working properly.
1. Delete these files in TANTRA installation folder: Update.exe. Updatelist.dat. patch.dat. Then try file check in TANTRA
2. If you still cannot download the patch, delete TANTRA completely. Then reinstall the client version. We recommend the zip version. To delete TANTRA go to program add/delete and delete TANTRA. You also have to delete TANTRA folder in program folder of your hard drive. If you have firewall, you must cancel the firewall. (windows XP)
3. Lastly, try to install the foreign country client version. If you still have errors, print screen your error message and attach this file and e-mail it to us. We will try our best to solve the error.
(If you still can't install TANTRA after trying all of the above, please e-mail us your dxdiag.txt file.
To create dxdig.txt file = Start -> execute -> run dxdiag. Save all the information at lower right. )
Q: The "Lost Way Boy" quest and "Shield of Life" quest doesn't seem to work.
A: When the Lost Way Boy quest and tribe quest pile up together, you must first complete the tribe quest then proceed to the task execution quest. Now you can do the Lost Way Boy quest. As for the Shield of Life quest you must first finish the Vartan's sword quest.
Q: My skill turned 0 during the game.
A: When this happens log out and reconnect. When you reconnect and log in again, it should work properly. If your skill still remains 0: Before pressing the <game start> button, run <file check> and check all your files.
If it still remains at 0, reinstall the client version.
Q: Disconnected message appears, and then I can't reconnect.
A.When this happens, try the following steps:
1. Virus check. Update your virus check before you proceed.
2. Automated programs like Messenger can collide with other programs. So close these programs. If you still have problems after closing these programs, delete those programs.
3. Check your password. You may have entered the wrong password. Find the password search in the web site. A temporary password will be e-mailed to your account.
4. Delete TANTRA completely. Then reinstall the client version. We recommend the zip version. To delete TANTRA go to program add/ delete and delete TANTRA. You also have to delete TANTRA folder in program folder of your hard drive.
Q: Is it possible to run Tantra in window-mode instead of fullscreen?
A: If you press Alt+Enter while playing, it will shift to Windowed mode. Pressing it again will shift it back to Full Screen.
Q: Program to big to fit in memory: I get this message when I launch the tantrasetup.exe but all my requirements fit.
A: Kindly use a third party downloader program if you are downloading the game from our website. Or better yet, use a Tanta CD installer.
Q. I forgot my password/secret answer. How do I retrieve them?
A: For your e-mail/password/secret question problem, please send an e-mail to tantra-admin@tantra.com.ph
and indicate in the subject field: Request to Send Secret Answer. Include these details for account verification

Q: My account was hacked. What are the steps i need to do to recover my items

II. Commonly Encountered Problems/Errors and Their Fixes:
a. Not updated Windows OS – To ensure smooth and fast connection, Windows should be regularly updated. Go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com for the latest patches.
b. No DirectX installed – Make sure that the required DirectX files are installed.
c. Firewall Settings – Configure this setting to unblock Tantra
d. Norton Security Settings – Must be disabled in order for the game client to run.
e. Corrupted client installer – CD installer is either defective or updated. Re-install using updated CD or download from the mirror links
